These ceramic sculptures are simple and honest, true to the nature of the material. Beginning with a simple square of clay, the artist pushes and pulls, presses and lifts. Responding to her touch, the clay curls, slumps, arches, and cracks. The pieces are installed particularly to play with light and shadow and to add texture and dimension to the overall environment.
